Interesting Holiday Activities to Involve your Dogs In

The holiday season is upon us and we all are in holiday cheer and preparing for the various activities we engage in during the holiday season. From Christmas card photos to holiday shopping, we are always so engaged it all this time of the year. However, our four-legged friends can feel left out in all this. In this post, we will discuss how better to involve your dogs in your holiday cheer.

  • Holiday Photos

Holiday photos include our immediate family and sometimes even our very close friends. Well, our dogs are also our family and we should involve them in our holiday photos too. Whether it is the family Christmas card or a photo with a shopping mall Santa, your dog would look cute in those photos, all dressed up in their holiday attire.

  • Buy Presents for them

One of our favorite traditions every year is opening presents together the morning of Christmas. It has been a tradition loved by kids and adults alike. That excitement of not knowing what you are going to get is something we all share. Our loyal pooches feel that same excitement, maybe on a whole new level. Buy a gift for them, wrap it up and let them tear it open on Christmas morning and see their reaction. It would be priceless.

  • Show them the lights

Every Christmas the entire neighborhood decorates their homes with beautiful lights. Some neighborhoods even have competitions where the best-decorated house gets awarded. Take your dog out in the town to see the beautiful lights all across the neighborhood. This would be a fun activity for both of you.

  • Holiday Sweaters

Another activity we all hate to love is wearing holiday sweaters. We get them as gifts, generally from our grandmothers and we all wear them proudly on Christmas, drinking eggnog and singing carols. Well, why don’t you make a sweater for your dog or buy one online and let them join in on the festivities?

  • Make them a special meal

Your dog loves a special treat, whether it is a cookie or a gourmet meal made especially for them. Make sure that the meal you prepare for the dog, suits their overall digestive system. Foods that can do not react well in their system can lead to indigestion and even diarrhea. You do not want to spend your Christmas calling a dog waste removal services. Prepare a healthy and delicious meal that your pet would love you for.
